Erasmus+ cooperation partnership “PROTOTYPE” coordinated by Roscioli Development srl…
The last Erasmus+ call 2021 allowed Roscioli Development srl to apply for an ambitious cooperation partnership around the theme of re-engaging automotive workers towards lifelong learning. The project called Prototype (Project n. 2021-1-IT01-KA220-VET-000033032) was funded and highly appreciated by the evaluators of the Italian Erasmus+ Agency.
The problem the partnership faces is related to the increased risk of Automotive workers not being able to make the role/job profile transitions that are and will be required of them. This fact could worsen the competitiveness of Automotive enterprises. Why?
On the one hand, there is a widespread DISENGAGEMENT by workers toward continuous learning and professional development. On the other hand, the workers skill sets and attitudes suffer from obsolescence.
The general objective of the project is to contribute to put the enterprises in the best conditions to create new value emerging from the evolution of the automotive ecosystem, by keeping active and employed the current workers.
The project wishes to re-engage and then train workers. First of all, it provides them with a suite of on-line resources suitable to their understanding of the usefulness of lifelong learning; in doing so, the project tests also with the innovative use of the cinematographic language, the only one able to activate people through the realisation of spots or short films. Then it promotes in workers the development of a selection of skills useful to make role transitions through the use of a digital game and a subsequent European competition among workers. Part of the game will be played/learned in work-based learning enviroment.
Important partners are involved in the project implementatio: some European Automotive Clusters such as the Italians IAM, the French CARA and the Portuguese MOBINOV; the Polytechnic University of Grenoble, the experts of game-based learning IP-International, the experts of work-based learning Ilmiolavoro srl. Then ATEC, an important provider of vocational training in the Portuguese automotive industry, the German-Italian Chamber of Commerce of Munich-Stuttgart. Besides Italy, the other involved countries are Germany, France, Portugal.
The project will start in Jabuary 2022 and will last 26 months. We will keep you updated on developments.
